Interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) is a highly researched evidence- based practice for treating and working with individuals with depressive disorders. Interpersonal Therapy has also been further studied and adapted more recently for use in treating additional psychiatric disorders including anxiety disorders and eating disorders. In this recorded course, participants will learn about interpersonal therapy as a time-limited treatment. Additionally, the course will discuss key components of interpersonal therapy including phases of treatment, interpersonal problem areas, and strategies/tactics associated with each phase. Case examples will be used to review an application of some IPT strategies.
